The Bare Bones Basics: 4 weeks

Each week you will learn one skill that you will then practice at home. The following week we will discuss your progress before moving on to the next skill. The skills are all interlinked so we will touch on more than one skill in each session. However the particular focus of each session will be on the following:

  • WEEK 1: Communicating with your child: shifting gears in your speech and listening skills

  • WEEK 2: Active parenting: setting things up for success

  • WEEK 3: Providing Structure: using rules and routines to guide and teach

  • WEEK 4: Dealing with upsets and other big emotions

Classes are 2 hours.


Fundamentals of Positive Parenting: 8 weeks

  • WEEK 5: Providing Structure: using rules and routines to guide and teach

  • WEEK 6: Dealing with upsets and other big emotions

  • WEEK 7: Fostering competence, fostering confidence

  • WEEK 8: Using Problem solving to resolve disputes and power struggles

Classes are 2 hours.
